Whereas the pope, for the relief of the embarrassments with which
the king was oppressed in the time of the late disturbance in the
realm, granted to him a tenth of ecclesiastical benefices in Ireland
for three years, and the king assigned the said tenth to the queen who has been in no small degree troubled about the collection thereof,
and she has appointed Stephen de Fuleburn, hospitaller, and Master
John de Bosco, jointly and severally, as her proctors and messengers
to collect the said tenth, and to audit the reckonings of the receipts
of divers collectors thereof; . the king ratines this and commands
all persons in Ireland to be of aid to them. [Fcedera.]
Mandate to bailiffs and others of Ireland to protect them ; for one
