Commission to Nicholas de Castello, Bartholomew de CasteUo and
William de Middelton as follows :—Whereas the greater part of 6,000
marks Wherein the Jews of England were bound to Edward the king's
son, which Hagin son of Master Mosseus and Ellas his brother, Jews
of London, took from the said Jews, is in arrear to the said Edward,
and the said Hagin and Cok son of Cresseus, Jew of London, are
likewise bound to the said Edward in sOme other debts; the king
commands the said commissioners, on a day to be provided by them,
to audit the account of the said 6,000 marks attd the other debts, so
that then swift justice may be done by them as may be most expedient
for the said Edward. He has commanded the constable of the Tower
of London to cause the said Jews to come before them for this on the
day which he shall appoint. |
