Liberate to Roger de Haverhull, Icing's clerk, 54s. 4d. for a gilt cup (cuppa) given on the Icing's behalf to Ellis de Laverm,
knight, nephew of Hugh de Vivone, in the 25th year, 56s. for a
brooch (firmacido) given to him on the queen's behalf, 4 marks for
a cup given to John de la Herte on the king's behalf, 40s. for a
brooch given to him on the queen's behalf, 5 marks 18d. for a plain
gilt cup given to Simon de Prischay on the Icing's behalf, 36s. for a
brooch given to him on the queen's behalf, and 46s. for 100 pounds
of wax whereof [the said Roger] had 5 great tapers made and
placed round the shrine of St. Edward at the Exaltation of the
Holy Cross; and to Edward son of Odo, king's clerk, 37s. 6d. for
the making of 1,500 tapers offered in divers places during the 25th
year, 6l. Bs. for 36 halfpence of Muse' (obul' de musce), and 12
pieces of gold weighing 10 pennyweights each, of which he offered
12 halfpence by the king's order in the church of St. Peter at
Westminster on t he day of St. Peter and St . Paul, 12 at the feast
of St. Peter's Chains, 12 and 4 pieces of gold at Michaelmas, and
8 pieces of gold at the Translation of St. Edward. |
