Be it remembered that on Thursday after the Feast of
St. Matthias [24 Feb.], 19 Edward I. [A.D. 1290-1], came Fulk le
Bret, on whom a " macer "
cup had been seized for an assessment
of 3*., temp. Hugh Motun, Chamberlain, and granted the
LETTER-BOOK A. 123
cup to Geoffrey de Norton to acquit him ; and it was delivered
to the said Geoffrey in the presence of the said Fulk, &c., and
the said Geoffrey will answer to the Chamberlain for the 3*.
