quitclaim from gilbert “ monetarius” son of adgar to thomas “ mercerius” his son of all that stone house, bought of robert son of robert pynkenie, in st. agnes’ parish towards aldersgate, london. the said gilbert to have free dwelling therein for himself his wife and his family during his life. at his death margaret his wife shall have no dwelling therein according to the oath taken by her before marriage nor dower nor free bench. but if his said son wish to marry during his father’s lifetime, he may bring his wife into the said house as to his private dwelling, reserving the residence of his parents and their household.
