[Middx.] A. 2362. Will of Stephen called Bernard, dyer, of London, living in
the parish of St. Mary Somerset, by ' le Brokenfarwe ' of the said city.
Bequeaths several amounts to the above church, &c. ; to Walter Miles,
fishmonger, of London, and Agnes his wife, daughter of Stephen, three
shops with rooms built over, and a chamber adjoining, stretching towards
the Thames, in a lane at one end of Lamberdeshill towards ' le Fiswarve';
to Isabel his wife the messuage he lives in ; two shops in Scholane to be
sold to support a chaplain in the above church; to his wife certain vessels
and all his wooden brewing utensils with cistern adjoining, and all his
chests and coffers except one great chest bound with iron, &c., and the
terms of his apprentices, William de Herbeston and Thomas Elys, who
however for the first year after his death shall work for his profit, &c.
