Commission to John de Lovetot and Roger de Leicester to examine and
correct, if necessary, the record and process of a suit in the hustings
of the city of London, wherein John de Boyvill and Dionisia his wife
impleaded Osbert de Suthfolk touching a messuage and four shops in the
said city as of the right and inheritance of the said Dionisia as heir of
Walter le Devenyf! her father, the said Osbert claiming the premises by
feoffment of the said John nnd Dionisia, which feoffment the said John and Dionisia alleged to have been made by fraud during the minority of the said Dionisia and while she was in the custody of Robert le Peytevin in the county of Devon (where she has other lands), to whom the said custody was demised by Henry III.; but the said court, insisting on the enrolment of the said feoffment, refusing to admit such exception. |
