Contents:
A certain tenement in Rye which he acquired from John Bone lying between the land which onetime belonged to Nicholas ate Nesse on the east, a highway on the west, land onetime belonging to William de Potepirie on the north and a tenement which belonged to Stephen the reeve (prevost) on the south.
Rent to the heirs of John Bone 12d. on Sunday in mid-Lent and 10d. at Michaelmas; to the donor and his heirs ½d. silver at his principal tenement in Rye.
Attested and recorded at Rye on Sunday next after the Feast of St. James the apostle in the 32nd year of King Edward.
Witnesses: Pharon John then mayor, (This is the earliest dated reference to a mayor of Rye, but see RYE/136/7.) Paul son of Robert, Justin Alard, Henry ate Nesse, John Ambroys, Stephen Ambroys, Philipp Russe, Richard Whyte John Whyte, Richard Portesmouthe, Richard Beneit, Peter the clerk.
