Allocate to Adam de Basing, citizen of London, in his debt of
l OOl. due this Easter, 50s. lOcl. for wide and narrow orphreys and
other ornaments (apparatu) for a cope of green samite made
against the feast of St. Edward .in the 34th year ; 10 marks for a
chasuble of samite given to brother John de Schipton the same
year; l 7l. 6s. Sd. for two copes made for the king of red samite

and given to St. Peter's church at Westminster this year, the one
at Christmas and the other at the feast of St. Edward; 12Z. 3s. 3d.
for two other copes of r ed samite and for wide and narrow orphreys
and all the other ornaments therefor assigned the same year to the
abbot of Shrewsbury and the prior of the Holy Trinity, London;
4l. 18s. 5d. for wide and narrow orphreys for a cope of yellow
samite of the gift of vV. de Haverhull the king's treasurer and
other ornaments therefor the same year, which is in the king's
chapel ; lOOs. l 7d. (sic) for wide and narrow orphreys for a
chasuble of the same samite made for the king, and for a backed
linen cloth (quadam sindone reforc') to line a chasuble which the
king gave to St. Peter's church at Westminster the same year;
lOOs. 7d. for wide and narrow orphreys and the other ornaments
for a cope of violet samite, and 6Z. 13s. 6d. for the like for a chasuble
of samite, which the Iring gave to his chapel of Winclesores the
same year; 116s. 8d. for a tunic and dalmatic, wide and narrow
orphreys, and the malring thereof the same year, which the king
gave to the same chapel in like manner with an alb and embroidered
apparel (exparnris), amice, cuffs, and collar, and the malring
thereof, for which (pl.) 65s. 6d. is to be allowed; and for orphreys
for a white chasuble taken from the same Adam in the 34th year
and placed in St. Stephen's chapel at Westminster, and for the
malring and other ornaments thereof, 25s. Sd.
