Mandate to Nicholas de Haudlo, guardian of the bishopric of Winwindsor.-
Chester, whom the king lately commanded to pay for all the purchases
made by Richard de Ewell and Hugh de Turri, buyers of the king's wardrobe, in the last fair of Winchester, out of the issues of
the said fair and of the s^le of wool and cheese of the said bishopric
aftd out of the rent of the bishopric for Michaelmas term last, to the
amount of 2,200 marks/: that if these do not suffice, to sell, by view
anol_ testimony of William de Axemuth, whom the king is now
sending to him for this, the crops of the bishopric where this may be
• most quickly done, to the amount of the residue unpaid, so that
the Jsmg may have the money or the morrow of this instant feast of
fct. Jidward to satisfy the merchants from whom the said purchases
